Starting Tuesday, March 10, at 11 a.m. MT, First Interstate will add a “sticky” login bar to the homepage on desktop.

The update places Online Banking and Online Business Banking front and center to make it faster to log in. Your URLs and credentials are not changing.

At a Glance
  • What’s new: A light‑gray sticky login bar under the main navigation on desktop
  • What it does: Puts Online Banking and Online Business Banking login fields at the top of the homepage; on mobile devices, login will appear next to the menu.
  • Also available: All account logins link for other platforms
  • What’s unchanged: Mobile app, login landing page, bookmarks, and credentials
  • Go‑live: March 10 at 11 a.m. MT
What’s Changing on Desktop
  • A light‑gray login bar with fields will appear beneath the homepage header.
  • The Login option in the upper right remains, but changes from a button to a text link.
  • The bar presents two dropdown options: Online Banking and Online Business Banking.
  • An All account logins link in the bar takes you to the full login landing page.
What’s Changing on Mobile
  • Mobile site: The Login option will appear next to the menu pancake stack.
What’s Not Changing
  • Mobile app: No changes.
  • Login landing page: Unchanged and still available from the upper‑right Login link.
  • Bookmarks and credentials: URLs remain the same, so saved bookmarks still work. Your username and password do not change.
    • Some password managers may prompt you to fill or save credentials again after the update.
Why We’re Making This Update

Login is the most common action on firstinterstate.com. By moving primary login choices to the top of the desktop homepage, we reduce steps and align with client expectations. The sticky bar improves visibility, cuts clicks, and speeds access to Online Banking and Online Business Banking.

“Clients tell us they want to reach their accounts quickly and with confidence,” said Brian Jensen, Director of Marketing and Client Experience at First Interstate. “This design keeps the tools you use most within reach and does it without changing the way you sign in or the security you expect.”

What to Expect on March 10
  • The sticky login bar will appear on the desktop homepage at 11 a.m. MT.
  • You can continue to log in as you do today — from the new bar or the Login link in the upper right.
  • If you use a password manager, you may see a prompt to autofill or save credentials after the update.
