First Interstate earned a Gold badge on the 2026 Where You Work Matters List, a national rating that looks at how large U.S. employers create jobs with strong pay, career growth, and retention outcomes.
The Where You Work Matters List evaluates results across more than 1,750 employers and nearly 55,000 occupations, using career progression patterns drawn from more than 12 million workers.

Where You Work Matters describes its list as a data-based look at job quality that focuses on real-world outcomes — including pay, mobility, and retention — rather than company-submitted surveys.
